Phytoplankton-bacteria interactions: from coexistence to coevolution in a changing ocean - PhyBa_CO2

A drop of seawater contains many organisms interlinked in a web while constantly racing each other on evolutionary time scales. Little is known about the role of the important interactions established between phytoplankton and bacteria in coevolution. Therefore, this project analysed the potential role of interactions established between coexisting organism's on their responses to increasing CO2 concentrations at short timescales. It also analysed their importance on organisms’ evolution potential to adapt to increasing CO2 during longer experiments.
